Golfing during Law School?

My new addiction is golfing, I have been playing non stop for 2 months now and I just picked up a new Taylor-Made iron set and a new driver for a bargain with some of my graduation money. I'm getting ready to keep swinging away with these all summer. Once law school begins, how much time will I have to go golfing? I'm going to be a part time day student( with no job).
Any golf-addicts with some helpful advice for me?

I know a guy on Law Review who played the entire front nine this semester, like, 2 times. I also played goofy golf with him once but he had to leave after hole 11 to do a cite check.
I also know a guy who played 18 holes every Saturday and ended up on the 4th most prestigious secondary journal. I think he was right around median.
I know a girl who played goofy golf 3 times, and ended up getting a 1L SA. Unfortunately she was no offered because over the summer she developed a wicked slice and, you know, it's such a mental game they didn't think that she would handle the stress of firm work and straightening out her drive (Goofy golf drive of course. I played once with her when we had to hit it between the legs of a polar bear and she ALWAYS hit the foot. It's hard to watch. She had a really solid short game though. Goofy golf short game of course). She and I were friends and I tried to give her advice: do not drop your shoulder as you make contact with the ball. She's now 150K in debt and totally taboo to all firms. She could have played with a hook because a lot of the courses here dogleg that way, but a slice, no man, she's done.
Alright, that's enough, I'm mocking you. You will find time to play golf, your schedule is pretty soft. If you want to play every day then no, but once a weekend and a night at the driving range during the week is pretty doable.
EDIT: Is it goofy golf? Mini Golf? putt-putt? So many names, maybe we can settle the issue. That would be pretty important compared to the rest of this thread.

You'll have time, and this is a beneficial skill to have as far as the social aspect of your career goes.

Definitely Goofy Golf, cause if there's nothing goofy on that course I'm not paying to putt a ball on astroturf.

Move into your apartments a few weeks before school starts and play some rounds. Schedule your weekends so you can play 9 holes on saturday morning for a few weeks. If you really start jonesing for golf- go to the driving range, or go play putt putt.
A little scheduling and planning will allow you to play golf during the semester.

Thank you, I'm thinking of that as well.

I played at least once a week and I rocked first semester--maybe not much second semester though. The deal is that you have x amount of free time and you can spend it however you want. More golf means less fucking around on the internet/at bars/whatever else you do. I used golf as a physical activity during my non-workout days. The big downside for me is that it's fucking expensive. I stopped drinking to fund my golf habit.

you will be fine. You will have some free time to play 18 holes once in a while. The issue will be whether or not you can go to the range every week.

Actually, I shat before every single final. It became my good luck ritual - plus I didn't want to have any distractions during the exam vis-a-vis poop. I think adrenaline and fear are natural laxatives.
The key is scoping out the most low traffic crapper in your lawschool beforehand. Nothing worse than crapping with people walking around.
Do whatever you need to do to stay sane. Me? Video games. This guy I know also smoked a lot of pot while playing video games and did well, so whatever you need to do to relax, just do it. Just decide what's important. For me, it was easy to decide people weren't important. People take a lot of time, what with wanting to talk to me, see me, time spent driving to and from being seen, all cutting into my video game time - damn my natural charms and good looks! But I'm a proud introvert. So fuck people. Oh, and I suck at golf.

So you're saying I can play Uncharted 3 and MW3 and still do well in law school? Fuck yeah.

i bought the 2.0 for $299 plus got $50 trade-in for my old r7 limited, so i don't think that $329 for the burner 1.0 is a great deal. you put "1.0's" though so maybe you're talking about an iron set, but the original poster is talking about a driver.
