Hey guys,

Can someone tell me what the difference is between an "on-brief argument" vs. an "off-brief argument" ?

I would imagine an on-brief argument uses the facts from your brief as the basis for the argument, while off-brief does not.

in our moot court competition this year, "on-brief" reflected arguing the position for which you wrote a brief; "off-brief" reflected arguing the opposite position.
