Note-taking software for Mac Users (former OneNote user)

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but I didn't find it on the "Standard 0L Questions"...
I live, breathe, and die by OneNote in my job, but will be switching to a Mac for law school. What would be a comparative program on Macs?
What do you guys use for note-taking in class?
Thanks in advance.

If you look through the threads, there are about 60 on this topic. Just search "one note macs" and you'll find them.
I think, from reading them, that there are three standard answers.
1. Run OneNote on windows through Parallels.
2. Circus Ponies Notebook
3. Microsoft Word Notebook Format
I've also heard good things about Growly Notes.

I have heard great things about Curio. A bit expensive, but the layout seems fantastic.

Have you used OneNote as well? Parallels is eating up all my RAM so I am thinking of switching to Circus Ponies next year - just wondering about comparative functionality and how good the outline formatting is, as well as notebook pages or subsectioning.

I found this online yesterday. (--LinkRemoved--) I use OneNote, but if I were using a Mac, I might check it out. From the screenshot on the website, it looks similar to OneNote. And, from what it says on the website, it's free.

I just tried that out yesterday and absolutely love it! The only thing I am weary of is that unlike Word for Mac, Growly Note is not easily compatible for non-Mac users. You can export to PDF but that's it. To make certain I was correct about this I sent an email to tech support and got a response within a few hours, which I thought was really impressive considering it's a free program!

Growly Notes looks like an excellent option. I don't have a Mac (yet!) but this makes me want to transition even more. Thanks for sharing.
(Yes, this is what I should be doing instead of outlining like an outlining thing.)

After a week to two weeks of getting used to the differences, you will wonder why anyone ever uses PCs. Especially when you can run parallels.

Been using Circus Ponies on my Mac for 2 years now and I love it.
As with anything, it takes a while to get used to the hot keys and such, but I am also a big fan.
And it's cheap!
