I've heard a lot of 2/3L's either don't go to class or rarely go. is this true?

I know there was one guy in my civ pro class who only came to two classes and the final. not sure how things worked out for him though.

I thought ABA mandated students to attend at least 80% of their classes...

I think that is right but I've only had one class so far that has taken attendance

I think that rule is only for the core 1L classes.

For most classes, it seems like attendance is usually around 2/3 to 3/4. Only a handful of people rarely or never go to class, but most skip a few. Attendance is worse for boring classes and Friday classes, and better for gunner classes (e.g. Fed Courts), in my experience.

This is right.

My Thursday afternoon PR class (mostly 2Ls, some 3Ls) is usually at about 60% attendance. My classes that have 1Ls in them are usually 90% or more in attendance.

My elective this semester has a lot of 2/3Ls in it and the attendance in that class significantly lower than any of my 1L classes.
