I want to get the Makdisi Estates in Land and Future Estates book, last version is 2007. Actually, I accidentally bought the older version first, 2004, but someone told me that property has changed too much since 2004 (only cost 15 bucks tho). Anyone know?

My guess is no. Every case I've read so far hails from the 1800s. The most recent one we've read is Moore v. Regents, and that was a while back.

Well this isn't a casebook its a supplement specifically for Land Estates and Future Interests. I could have sworn someone told me that in 2008 something big changed in property, cannot remember if it was from land estates and future interests though.

Kelo was in 2005. Other than that I can't think of anything.

The estates and future interests stuff is all really old. Some of it has changed over time (fee tail, etc) but that doesn't really matter. Most likely the prof is going to want to to learn all the really old shit anyway so don't worry about getting the latest and greatest supplement. It's all the same stuff. Why they make you learn all this feudal stuff, I still haven't really figured out, other than just tradition, and frankly, the future interest problems are a rather fun intellectual exercise. It's the only place I've really seen the LSAT coming through in an actual law school class.

btw, I'm a big fan of this supplement for future interest problems.
