I am a transfer and am just wondering where my GPA might fall in terms of percentile rank. If anyone knows of any approximate breakdown, I would love to see it. UW does not rank until the end of each year. Thanks!

Yeah, that is shockingly high. I thought it was 3.4 which is already REALLY high.

Someone awhile back posted that a 3.71 or something like that was the 10% cutoff......does anyone have an up to date breakdown? Application season is approaching and I want to get a jump start on things.

Anyone? Just got my last grade of the year back and am anxious to know where I stand. All of the grades are not in yet so they won't be able to tell me right now.

I'm under the impression that 3.4 to 3.44 is indeed the median, but I agree that 3.82 seems too high to be top 10%.
Yet, 3.7 might be too low for top 10%. It's probably somewhere in the middle. 3.75 is my outright guess.

This was exactly what I was thinking. I would guess that 3.7 would be like top 17% at worst, but I am no math guy. Thanks for the response.
A 3.82 as the top 10% cutoff just seems unrealistic considering professors here can give out a MAX of 15% A's, and I doubt that most give out 15% A's. It just doesn't add up to me.
