Correlation between 1L Fall grades and 1L Spring grades?

Do people normally make similar grades, is it pretty random, etc?

I've heard people stay pretty consistent for the most part. Especially for the people who seem to "get" how to take exams well. I very much hope this is the case.

I improved significantly (spring GPA was 0.4 higher than fall GPA - basically median to top 10%, averaging to top 20% at the end of the year). I did not significantly change my study strategy, so I have no idea what happened.

i'd imagine people who got consistent Cs Bs or As this semester will continue doing so. people (like me [like pretty much everyone]) who are on the border between B/A or B/C will probably have the most variance.
