I tried a search but couldn't find anything...

What do you/the majority of your classmates wear to class? At my SEC UG, people tended to err on the more dressed up side, so I'm curious how people dress for class in LS.

Do you think professors frown upon rolling in to class in sweatpants and hair in a ponytail or no?

I realize this is completely random, but I am curious nonetheless.

Aside from one girl who dresses up every day and an older student who tends to wear khakis, everyone in my section wears jeans/t-shirt/sweater/button-up every day. Girls and guys wear hoodies and sweats too. There are flip flops and Ugg boots as well as sneakers and baseball caps. I have never felt uncomfortable in jeans and a t-shirt at my school, but the town in general is small and casual. If I am meeting with a professor I tend to dress a little nicer, maybe a collared shirt and dark jeans, but I don't worry about dressing up for school.

Whatever is comfortable. I usually wear a t-shirt and jeans, shorts and flip-flops in the summer. If I'm feeling especially fine, I'll even iron the shirt. No one cares. Except for one guy in another thread who bitched about it.

My usual clothes:

1. Jeans + T-shirt
2. Jeans + Collared Shirt
3. Jeans + T-Shirt + Jacket/Sweater
4. Rarely: Slacks + Collared Shirt
5. Special Occasions: Suit (Once during the 1st semester)

if you don't dress like this, you will get shamed out of class
