Top Law Schools

I go to a T30 and just bombed first semester (B, B-, C+). I want to be a public interest lawyer. I'm confident that I can do better but I'm not sure that I can bring it back to median. What should I do? Is there still hope?

Yeah, your grades are a little bit better. Civ Pro also killed me too. I want to give this one more good shot I just want to hold myself accountable if it doesn't go well. I've already snagged a Public Interest job for the summer and our school gives us stipends so I figure to try hard and see this summer if this is really what I'm passionate about, if not, try something else. Do you think that's the right attitude?

If you're doing PI I wouldn't worry, plus you have a job, right? You'll be fine.

Yeah, I guess. I'm just concerned that if I don't make it over the median before I graduate life is going to be really tough. The way the economy is I can't help but think that finding a PI job with a low salary is going to be difficult, even if I have a lot of experience doing pro bono work.

Come on its the first semester (I'm assuming). You have so much time to make it above the median. You will probably do better because you learned from your mistakes.

I say this to everyone all the time lol, but seriously, you'll be fine.
