Top of Tier 4 school or Bottom of T20 school?

I transferred to a T20 school and am not performing as well as I expected. The remorse of having transferred is running through me. It's using a little bit of hindsight....but I'm wondering how employers view this change. Thanks

what exactly are you asking? whether you should have stayed? whether employers would rather see one or the other?

Not so good either way, especially in this economy. But, your T20 name will have longevity. Vandy vs. Valp is a no-brainer.

Did you already strike out at OCI?

Top of T4 (like top 5%) is likely better than bottom of T20 school (like bottom 30%). Even if the numbers were top 10% and bottom 40%, the T4 likely wins out. However, if you mean top 30% in the T4 and bottom 50% in the T20 the choice is obviously the T20.
Try to get better grades. Transferring to a T20 is almost never a bad idea. In our career choice, the name of the school is huge. If you can crack into the top 50%, your choice of transferring was probably a good idea.
I do not have the experience of contrasting the difficulty between a T4 and a high T1 school. However, people who have transferred and posted their grade changes seem to suggest that they maintain slightly worse grades but still manage to stay near the top of the class.

Stopped reading your post after this. What kind of a stupid scenario is that? Who do you think is transferring into a t20 after being only top 30% at a TTTT?

Looks like you were a medium, delicate Koi fish in a small pond. Should've stayed there (at the TTTT) if you have ties to the region, but there's no guarantee of a job or good outcome in either scenario here. HTH

It doesn't matter. However, bottom of T-14 would be better since many small firms will know the name and won't care about the grades if you've got other things going for you.
