cover letter question

in a cover letter to the DA, is it stupid to mention that my brother is a police officer and that, listening to his awful stories of criminals blah blah blah i feel obligated to use my skills as a lawyer to protect the community from these same criminals?

good idea but don't let it sound like youre trying to hard to be like him. say how youre creating your own path or some bs

I agree. You can say he's a PO and how you respect him and what he does, but you want to uphold the same values on the other side of the system. One doesn't work without the other, blah blah blah
