anyone have a recommendation on finding crim law hypos with adequate feedback?

also, does everyone else feel like common law mens rea is a complete free for all?

I seem to recall some people liked the crunchtime. I don't know if it has hypos or just multiple choice.
I agree with the E&E....I tend to like E&Es but that may be the worst one.

Yes. In fact, my prof said not to even think about mens rea because it was a "disaster" and instead gave us specific intents/states of mind, any one of which would suffice.

1. The E&E is garbage, pick up one of Dressler's books or a Nutshell/Crunchtime.
2. I spent hours yesterday trying to piece together mens rea at COL before just giving up. Our prof insists there is a way to work mens rea into it, but I just assume whatever COL crime there is it will outline the necessary mental state within its text.

Prof told us first day of class if we use the E&E as a supplement, we are just asking for a C

I find Dressler's understanding criminal law to REALLY help clear up fuzzy areas of the material, however it doesn't offer much in the way of hypo questions

Crunchtime and Cali Lessons.

This late in the game, I've heard crunchtime is good. But overall, I really liked LaFave's hornbook.

Cali's and Dressler's Black Letter Outline. The understanding was more of a during the semester book. I took exams from the links in the exam sources thread tabbed to the top of the forum.

Worked for me.

My crim law exam was basically a carbon copy of hypos from there.

I'm using the crunchtime books for my other classes, and they are really nice. I already purchased the crim E & E for next semester. Should I try to sell it and buy something else? If so, what is the best?

Common Law Mens Rea IS a shit show. Well... kind of... the MPC uses nice precise language, but at the cost of trying to create discrete categories of fuzzy mental impressions. At it's core Mens Rea is basically: Is this person Evil? Should society destroy him, or is he sympathetic?

Acing Criminal Law did the trick for me. And it is a quick read. Also, I thumbed through the glannon guide for crim law. It explained things well and the MC questions helped show how you could completely eff things up by wording them wrong.
