Post by uvahooo » Sat Nov 27, 2010 9:55 pm

I know the BASIC stuff. But do you honestly have to memorize every detail of your outlines? I think that is a little ridic.

You should feel comfortable taking the exam without your outline.

maybe that depends on your exam format as well

...3/4 of mine are open book 8-hr take homes, and they arent designed to keep me writing all 8 hrs (substance-wise) lol

really? From people who I have talked too, this does not seem to be true.

I feel comfortable with the concepts cuz they are in my head, but I have to go back and look at stuff. I have been taking a lot of practice exams tho.

all my exams are three hours BTW.

If find that by the time I'm done making my outline I pretty much know everything in it. That's half the point of making it; you "memorize" it by refining it over and over until you know it already.

Its hard to say whether or not to tell anyone to memorize their outline when we don't know what is in your outline. Some people put an excessive ammount of detail in theirs. Personally, I've given it my best attempt to "memorize" big rules and, if they have them, sub rules; but just tried to "know" nuances, exceptions, policy. If that makes sense...
