When you stick a group of people together for a significant period of the day for an extended amount of time, hook-ups are almost inevitable. Whatever. The best thing for you to do, if that is the way you are going to go, is to have enough discretion to not hook-up with your section's gossip or the gossip's best friend. Hook-ups can be awkward enough without everyone knowing about it.

I would say that you should pick your target well, though, because I think the harm accrues not when you hook up with or date one person, but if you do so with two or more. This is especially true for girls, but I don't think being the section Lothario would do a guy who wants to be taken seriously many favors, either.

I wouldn't recommend it during the first semester. Ppl are still getting to know eachother and (if ur dumb like me and only made out) and hook up with someone and get drunk and talk about it, those initial impressions are hard to overcome. It is possible, thank god, but it really sets u back. I feel like second semester would be a better time to do so bc everybody is already pretty set with their friends and nobody really cares as much anymore. Just my 2 cents.
