Hey all,
Currently experiencing a major case of burnout. Physically I feel alright, but mentally I'm starting to feel a bit...tired? Feel like I'm losing my motivation to study.
Any advice on what I can do to get back in the game?

Give up an evening. Go to the gym, then get drunk.

Right there with you, taking a preemptive day off. Don't read, anything. Try to stay away from the computer too. I'm already feeling my second wind coming.

Might just be best to take an evening and do something you really like to do, watch a movie, hit the gym, hang out with some friends, whatever - taking a solid day to half a day away can do some real good for letting your system hit the refresh button (especially if you haven't given yourself any "you time" up to this point).
G.T.L. Rev. post is good advise too, do everything you can to enjoy the summer before your 1L year. I did absolutely nothing to prepare and was in the top of my class at the end of 1L. I just took that summer to work, work out a lot, and spend a lot of time with friends and family.

Started working again on my memo this morning, and had that burnout feeling. Quit by noon.
I went shopping all afternoon and plan on going to a dinner and a movie this evening with the SO, and may or may not go booze it a little afterward, depending on who else is headed out for the night.
It's working wonders for my mental health. I'll be back at it tomorrow, and I think I'll feel much more balanced and happy (sort of?).

Just stop thinking about the work and get it done.

I've been exercising and avoiding eating out for breakfast and dinners.
Least I'll do for now is call it a day, watch cartoons, then go to bed early.

Nothing wrong with a short break every now and then, but this is the time of the semester where the weak convince themselves it's okay to slack off. God put coffee on this planet for a reason.

Gym and sex. You need both to clear your head.

How does a geeky guy go about getting any of the latter legally without the requisite flirting skills or motivation to even spend time using them if present?

I'm not getting any tail anytime soon, so I'll just stick with the other motivational advice here.

Outlining is for suckers. Just get a good, old outline and work on practice problems.
