Report: USNWR folding in December

NY Post's media reporter says internal memos show USNWR is done next month.
They will have "digital" content and 8 newstand only issues - my guess is those are the various rankings guides
IS THIS THE END OF THE T14?!?!?!?!?!!?

I would LOVE if the rankings went away.
Then everyone can stop this ridiculousness of trying to differentiate between NYU and Chicago or Duke and Michigan as if the differences were cut-and-dry and objectively measurable. It has gotten out of hand.

Meh, then people will just squabble over a .0XX% difference in NLJ250 placement. It will never end.

If US News rankings go away, something else will replace them. Too many people have too much invested in the rankings to let them disappear.

USNWR isn't folding, they are just streamlining to include only the thing that makes them profitable. The rankings won't die so long as we believe in them. It's sort of like Freddy Kreuger, in that regard.

Exactly. Let's hope so. Without rankings, we might have to actually do some research before we decide where we want to spend 3 years of our lives.

Yeah, I seem to remember some shit happening in 1920 that was just BAD news and has ruined literally EVERYTHING since.
