3L Burnout

My 3L year has so far been harder and more work than 1L year. I am sure my GPA will go down and suck this semester. I attribute this mostly to burning out, getting tired of law school, exams, and bad professors. Also, I have lost a lot of my motivation to do well because I had a great 2L year, yet got NO JOB OFFERS. So after all the hard work in 2L, I feel like it wasn't worth it.

How is your 3L year been going for you?

Didn't burn out 3L year. My post 3L LLM semester has been SERIOUS burnout zone.

Completely burnt out. Luckily next semester I'm only taking seminars with no finals. Can't wait.

I understand exactly where you are coming from r9

I spent the first 2 years of law school working my ass off making dean's list and everything... but I feel like I did it all for nothing and I'm pretty much skipping like a third of my classes.

I'm almost at the point where I don't even care if I get the degree

I knew I would probably get a little burnt out... so I tried to counter that by taking more exciting classes (e.g., externship with a Judge and a clinic). It worked out wonderfully and kept me very interested and I did not burn out.

Burned out. Really tough to muster enough will power to do anything. Thankfully I planned on having a really light 1st semester, so hopefully I'll survive.

Shit, I burned out 2nd semester of 2L. Very hard to take much of anything seriously at this point.

I voted no. I dunno, I've always liked law school.

If it's any help, misery loves company. The vast majority of TLS will be where you are right now in a few years.
