Balancing memo with studying
LRW memo is our entire grade for the class.
I want a good grade on my LRW memo, but I don't want to neglect my other classes. I'm not sure what the proper perspective is for balancing these competing interests. Have you thought about how much time to spend on your memo?

He maybe joking, but depending on your professor this would be accurate at UVA.

I am glad my school has LARW end in the middle of the semester so that it doesn't screw us for finals.

Yeah, mine is over in mid-November.
OP - however long it takes to research and write. Some people it will take a couple of days, some three weeks. Trying to put a number on it is arbitrary and useless.

I'm not asking specifically, how much time do I need to spend on it. I'm just looking for perspective.kalvano wrote: OP - however long it takes to research and write. Some people it will take a couple of days, some three weeks. Trying to put a number on it is arbitrary and useless.
Is it worth beating my memo to death in hopes of writing onto law review? Do the rewards (for reviewing the finished product over and over again) diminish when they only provide minor changes? Is there as much competition among students on a memo as there are on exams? etc.

At my school, the LW class doesn't have anything to do with law review.stocksly33 wrote:I'm not asking specifically, how much time do I need to spend on it. Don't blow it off, but once you've said everything there is to say, put it aside. I think the curve in most LW classes is too tight to really stand out anyway.
