Hello everyone,

I have been reading the posts at TLS for quite some time but have not commented on any posts or began a thread of any kind, so if I ask any questions that have already been answered, if possible please point me in the right direction.

I am an Electrical Engineer (EE) by professional and am currently a 2L a Top 60 law school in the South. In addition, I am in the top 25 percent of my class. I received my EE degree from a top 10 school, worked for about 2 years and decided to attend law school. Now I was wondering what would be the best way to break into the DC Intellectual Property market (I am primarily interested in IP litigation but am more than willing to start out doing IP prosecution). Any! suggestions are welcome.

Should I work with the PTO?

should i get an llm?

Perhaps do both?

Thanks!

I'm thinking about this too, I'm in a top 100 and a 1L with DC experience for the last two years, summer internships etc. I'm currently in CA and want to be a lobbyist. Should I start in Sacramento and move my way to DC (I hate state politics vs. fed)? Or just go for firms in DC

Because the only Ivy engineering program that isn't a total joke is Cornell.
