finish the sentence...

for me, thinking like a lawyer and considering scope, line drawing, and policy concerns
and also realizing that the amount of work will not let up for a second.

dying a somewhat slow and definitely painful death.

But then I'm a 2L.

Much more of an alcoholic than I was in undergrad. But, I also think I spend more hours in the library in any given week than I did in my entire undergrad career combined. So to answer the question I'm one month in and I feel like I'm completely balanced, and starting to get the hang of things.

I'm a month in 2L and I'm drowning in work. Advice to the wise: Don't sign up for every single thing that comes to you during 2L. I'm mentally exhausted.

Glad I'm not alone...well kind of, because it sucks and I wouldn't wish it on someone else just to have a compatriot. Get some (mental) rest!

...a complete fucking douchebag compared to the rest of my classmates. It takes me much longer to process material, and even then, I'm scared that I may not be prepared to start practicing exams when it comes time.

I'm good now. Bit of a rocky start.....but I'm good. My only wish was that Legal Writing was pass/fail like at most law schools around the country

honestly, the work is not THAT hard... it is just very time consuming. First midterm today... 8 hour exam in contracts :( 750 word max though so it really shouldn't take the whole 8 hours. we are just given a bunch of cases and a fact pattern and we have to apply the law from the cases to our case

:waves:

Personally, I'm not particularly looking forward to it, because I feel like I'm going to want to use most of my time and so it's pretty much going to kill my entire weekend.

As for right now... I feel pretty solid about where I'm at, but grades on a curve scare the crap out of me.

I concur, 2L is so much worse than I'd ever imagined.

lol... It is just that as a 2L you are involved in too many things. I wish the day had 30 hours. I have two jobs, plus I'm a research assistant;I'm a full time student, and I'm on LR. Now that I think about it 1L wasnt THAT BAD. LOL

I did not know anything at the beginning of the semester. After a semester in law school I realized that a lot of those who sounded smart did not actually know anything. Don't feel bad. You will get the hang of it.

feeling similarly. just keep at it, put in the time, and try not to get too burnt out.

That's practically the main reason I visit the gym religiously 5-6 days of the week out of 7.

not working as hard as I should. I do most of my reading 30 minutes to an hour before class.
