Does anyone know if there's a supplement keyed to the Fruedenthal casebook? I'm going to pick up Glannon's E&E, but I'd like to double up because my Civ Pro prof is all over the place.

Everything you need to know about Civ Pro can be found in Glannon's book. No other supplemental books even come close to the clairy he provides. If you feel like the E&E isn't enough, give Glannon's Learning Civ Pro through Multiple Choice Questions.

Try not to focus on following your prof too much right now. If you spend some quality time learning what Glannon offers you should be better able to follow along with the classroom discussion.

there is a friedenthal hornbook, i was gifted it by an older student but i haven't even looked at it yet

Glannon's E&E is seriously the best supplement out there, it is GOLD.

Acing Civil Procedure (and for that matter the whole acing series (except for torts) is probably the best book most people have never heard of.

I enjoyed the Friedenthal/Kane/Miller hornbook. I found it very clear and helpful, especially when learning about jurisdictional issues. It was recommended by my professor, which is why I bought it.

However, I've also heard awesome things about E&Es, which seem more accessible to the average law student and provide, you know, examples and explanations and stuff. I probably should have bought it, but I just never got around to it.

I really really liked the Friedenthal hornbook, but the Glannon E&E is still TCR. Also, if you can find case briefs keyed to your text, those are money for pulling BLL out of dense readings.

I'm assuming if one of the authors of the Hornbook is your prof, you should buy it, yes?

Friedenthal on Civ Pro.

Glannon matches up very well with the Friedenthal casebook. The hornbook Friedenthal wrote is quite good, but generally will go into more depth than you need. I would only go to it if you are especially struggling with something specific. I barely used it at all.

I did not find Acing Civ Pro to be useful at all, but I know many who did.
