If you have already taken an ethics/PR class, 8 hours of skimming an outline is enough prep. It is really easy.

I took PR this past semester. The BarBri outline is pretty good then I try the questions and muff them.

Compared to the bar, the mpre is like a Friday math quiz you had in 3rd grade.

Study for ~8hrs an you will pass with plenty of room to spare.

How much studying do you recommend if you have not taken a PR class?

Barbri video + reading through the short outline + 3 practice tests = way too much studying (but should be enough to make yourself pretty confident that you'll pass)

I'm nervous grad student! I plan on going through the lecture today, the bar bri book tomorrow, and then spend Wednesday and Thursday reviewing my notes/outlines and taking practice tests. It also doesn't help that my state requires the highest passing score.

For people that have already taken the MPRE, do you find that you have too much, just enough, or too little time to complete the exam?

I was done in just under an hour. They give you way more time than you need.

You shouldn't need anything more than the short outline in the Barbri book.

Also, I wouldn't bother with notes/outlines from PR. Just take the practice tests and go over the answers you missed. The highest required passing score still lets you miss close to 40% of the questions.

I meant the outline by Cherminsky and the notes I take from his lecture

I just took the Themis practice MPRE test. It said I got 68% right, but didn't give a scaled score. It just said the "required" score is 70%. But I didn't tell it my jurisdiction, so I don't know how it could have known my "required score." My state requires a relatively low score to pass. Now I'm really nervous but I don't know whether my nervousness is justified..

Where did you get this Themis MPRE test with the score??

Did anyone find the Kaplan questions to be fairly hard? I'm scoring like 55-65%, and I feel like I should be getting 70+ on the practice exams. Ugh.

I signed up through Kaplan since it was free. I watched the BarBri video on Saturday with friends. Then watched Kaplan video...the same shit.

YES YES YES! I take a kaplan practice exam and score around 60% then I take a previous MPRE practice quiz and score 90%...I hate this exam

Oh gosh this thread is just making more nervous. I feel like I'm in an LSAT thread all over again

Is there a way to take themis... without registering and paying? Or is it only for those that have signed up for this course?

Hey all,

I have been taking the MPRE practice tests out of the Bar/Bri book and after doing two, have managed in the high 60s% right on both of them. Does anyone have any idea of if something like 40 out of 60 and 41 out of 60 are considered good scores? This whole process is kind of odd because everything you look at says, "anything more than 2 days of study is too much" and there is also no scales to be had anywhere online that I can find. I am just trying to figure out how many you need to get right for a scaled score of 80. I feel sort of ridiculous.

The thing that boggles my mind the most, is that the highest score required is allegedly a 90 on the scale, yet the mean score is around a 100. By that information, if you are "below average" you are golden.

Hmmm...so I guess getting 40 out of 60 right should put me at ease. For some reason it is the night before the exam and I am starting to become concerned that I need to put in a long long day tomorrow.
