Bar/Bri or Kaplan PMBR?

Which one do you recommend? I know Kaplan's PMBR offers a money-back guarantee if you don't pass the bar and has more live sessions, however, Bar/Bri is supposedly more preferred and has been around longer.
Decisions, decisions...

Actually it's Barbri that has more live sessions. Kaplan is mostly online. Barbri also has a guarantee.

I wish someone would do some real research on this question. There's a
non-profit outfit that will sell you a complete bar review course (so they say) for less than a hundred bucks. Nonsense, right? A clear scam? But apparently their students pass the bar! And if it is a scam...how do they keep their nonprofit status? And why would they charge so little? (
http://www.baroutlines.com if anyone is interested.)
Is a bar prep course even necessary? I sure did one when I got out of law school but 25 years ago it cost me less than $500 not the $2,500-$5,000 providers seem to get these days. But did I really need it? I took all the Bar subjects in law school except Admin Law; there was nothing new to me in the bar review course.
If I were to take another bar exam I think I'd do the cheap review just to see if I could pass. Something tells me that I would pass while saving myself a bundle of cash. It would be worth the gamble.

I thought BARBRI was a rip-off. The lectures were completely worthless.
The only helpful part of the course was the mini-review outlines and the questions they give you. Those materials were worth something, but NOT $3k. Even the questions/materials were not that helpful because a lot of stuff on the bar was not covered by BARBRI. I've heard that Kaplan's course more closely resembles what you will see on the bar.
