Top Law Schools

Edit: having two separate forums is not necessary, but I propose having two distinct groups of newly updated topics on the front page (and removing the articles).

It would seem natural if the forum was divided into two sections: one having to do with the pre-law process (UG majors, why law, LSAT, applications) and the other with the law school itself (classes of 201x, grades, employment, etc.)

My main concern is splitting the Recent Forum Topics into two sections on the front page (the way it is right now, sans the "newly updated articles"), so I can go straight to the recently discussed topics that are pertinent to me. As a law student, I would probably have little interest in LSAT prep or personal statement advice. Same could likely be said for the pre-law folks.

Please share your thoughts.

1. Unnecessary duplication
2. The hope is that current law students will occasionally troll the pre-law forums to provide advice (and lulz)
3. It would diminish leet post counts.

I'm sorry it is so difficult for you to have to click 3-4 separate forums to see the new posts that are in them.

I find it hilarious that this recommendation is posted in the "Forum for Law School Students".

As for the active topics consideration, why not just manually check the two or three subforums you care about manually?

All it comes down to is having two distinct groups of newly updated topics on the front page. Otherwise, everything would stay as is.

Forum for Law School Students, Transfers, and Legal Employment would constitute one group and everything else - the other. Nothing would be duplicated and law students could still troll pre-law threads as they please.

Agreed. They may seem to have a great deal of value to those who wrote them, but are pretty annoying otherwise. Having a single link to all articles would seem to be more than enough.

+1. New articles don't come out fast enough to make it worthwhile.
