Insulted 0L makes a reasonable suggestion.

Until a few minutes ago I have always been very pleased with TLS, finding it a very helpful resource in my law school admission process. After going through the LSAT/ADMISSION/DECISION phases of my law school career, I had not had any reason to post or return to this site. After a discussion with a friend who had just finished 1L regarding the ethics of reading casebooks before the start of 1L, I decided to check on this forum. After using the search function and looking on sticky threads for thoughts on the matter, I did not find what I was looking for. So I posted. I got a lot of responses which primarily asserted that it was stupid/wasteoftime/harmful/useless to read casebooks or apparently even E&E's for that matter. No one mentioned ethical issues, so that pretty much answered my question.
Now, it wasnt the occasional prick-ish remark about "stupid 0L" that bothered me and led to this post. I expect that sort of thing on the internet. What bothered me is a moderator who linked to a very insulting sticky thread and then locked the post. Let me just say that I have never seen a thread locked on any forum justified by a link to such an insulting thread. The locking of a thread is a serious matter, and it should be justified by reasonable policies that are not in any way like that which i was rudely linked too.
Second, the only real justification for the locking claimed that only "law students" should post on this part of the forum. It claimed that 0Ls consistently muck up the forum without first searching. Even though I did in fact search without finding what I was looking for, clearly there is a demand for a 0L or entering students forum on TLS. I am suggesting that this should be added so that reasonable questions about 0L prep can be asked without arbitrary and capricious censorship by dickish moderators.
