I just gave up on looking remotely stylish and went with a backpack. Law books are heavy.

in college i was a messenger bag guy and i really liked it. but with law school and all of the lugging of books that will happen (im a 0L) i went with this. found it at REI on sale and it had great reviews online for being comfy, and being able to hold a lot of heavy stuff. plus it's padded for a laptop!

I just use this. I figure I might as well so I don't have to make any adjustments in 3 years.

I got a Northface bc you need something well made to haul around 20+ lbs of books. Also, they have nicely padded straps so they don't dig into your shoulders as badly.

+1. Since I am attending the same law school as my undergrad, I plan on using the new pledges. Not only to carry my books, but to push me around in my buggy as well.

Push someone in cart down hill = AWESOME. Totally a frat sport at some schools. Disclaimer: be sure to wear protective items (i.e. padding) though.

8 pages of suggestions. Enjoy.

EDIT: Also, I would say that learning to use "Google" and other interwebs search tools migth be more useful than worrying over your bag.
lol....will keep that in mind

Can you seriously not even make the smallest of decisions by yourself? Get a bag that carries your shit around, there isn't some super secret backpack that guarantees you get all A's.

I was also able to find a 30% off coupon (WOOT30) floating around the forum the other day. Hope this helps all those still looking.

That Targus bag looks like it costs as much as any laptop you will put in it. I'm just going to hire a little person to carry all my stuff for me.

Seriously. I had fashion pains wearing a backpack at first, but there is really no other way to do it unless you have minimal classes that day.
I am dreading having to buy and wear a backpack. I haven't had a backpack since the 9th grade. They're just so...ugly, especially on smaller girls like me.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
