Anyone know when they're going to put me out of my misery and tell me the writing competition didn't pan out? I'm considering taking a term-time gig, but I don't want to overcommit...

Offers went out July 7 last year so any day now I'd think. I turned in my grading a week ago

Edit: I just checked JMS and it says we have until 7/12 to rank applicants so it looks like you have another week-ish.

No, I applied to a few secondaries too. I'm not completely pessimistic about it, but I want to know one way or another so that I can find something else to fill my time if need be.

I see CLS journals give the news by phone. Do ours?

Not sure how other journals do it, but mine (secondary) emails.

What journals have called/emailed?

Not willing to say, cuz I try and maintain just the slightest hint of anonymity. But not Law Review for me.

The Environmental Journal and MCB people know, at least, or at least some of them. Not sure who else has been notified.

Law Review called and emailed people. Dunno if they got to everyone, but would guess so.

anyone else not heard anything about orientation? is everyone but law review the monday/tuesday before class?

That's when mine is, but I don't know if that's universal. Oh, and they did actually bother to tell me.
