Can someone post the link to the law school journal rankings? Didn't make law review, but made a couple of secondaries, so now it's time to decide...

Congrats on getting on a journal! My advice, totally unsolicited, is the 'rankings of journals" after the flagship mean squat for your future job search because they are based on what/who is published in them, how often they get cited ect., not the students/schools. If one of the journals is in an area you would like to practice that's a plus, but even bigger is how often you can get published. Publications are like resume gold. So, just based on what i experienced, those would be the top two considerations for me if I was to do it again. You may have other factors not listed here for choosing on journal over another, so go with that.truthypants wrote:Can someone post the link to the law school journal rankings? Thanks--I could've sworn there was another one. Maybe this is it, though.mallard wrote:http://lawlib.wlu.edu/lj/
This was the first result when I Googled "law journal ranking," by the way.
Hell yea. Have you taken any seminar courses yet? I found paper course like that lend themselves well to turning into something publishable (if its gets published is another story). Also it doe snot have to just be in journals, if you have something of interest for the bar association or local bar magazine they are allays looking for stuff to publish. I just got an e-mail yesterday or the day before from the ABA's Enegry section putting a call out for the fall publication. Also writing compeations, wining one of those is gold too, your school should have a list and you usually get published.prezidentv8 wrote:Resume gold, eh? http://stu.findlaw.com/journals/index.html (list of journals by subject area)
http://law.bepress.com/expresso/ (best website for submitting your article to many journals at once, though not all take expresso submissions)
Also i used these books a lot, and still do, for setting up my stuff, getting ideas, generating debsrrcitions.prezidentv8 wrote:[
