The Hornbook and E&E Series [answered; please close]

I'm sorry to trouble you all, but I've got a quick question(s):
I'm a 0L and I am planning to purchase all my Hornbook and E&E Series books relatively soon. If I buy them new they'll be significantly more expensive opposed to buying them used. The only catch is that they'll be earlier editions (by about 1 or 2 editions--so one book, for example, will be 4th edition instead of the current 6th edition). Is this a big issue? Is there a lot of new and relevant information in the current editions that'll be needed in my 1L, or will I manage perfectly fine with the earlier editions?
Thank you in advance
