I just bought learning legal reasoning but I just saw his: How to Do Your Best on Law School exams also got good reviews. I feel like reading one or the other is probably good enough but did anyone read both? Which one is better?

The books are totally different and cover different topics. I'm not sure why you would think reading one of them would make the other obsolete.
Anyway, the legal reasoning book isn't that great. Too much time talking about briefing cases, judicial philosophies, etc.
The exam book is pretty good, and worth reading IMHO.
There is also a criminal law book he did, but I haven't read that one.

They both do different things.
Legal Reasoning > tries to teach you how to brief (supposedly, and mind that you probably will only brief for a short period in law school before)
How to Do Your Best...> tries to teach you how to write a proper exam response/answer
Read both.

You can get a feel for the book by watching Professor Delaney's videos here:
