So pretty much, FML.
The gym solves a lot of stress problems, but not all of them. But oh Insomnia, hai, and I hate you.
Finishing early, though... that's a sure sign that you fucked up.

my point wasn't to show off, especially since no one knows who i am, my point was to say don't worry if you finish a little early, maybe its because you know your shit

I need every available moment, because I'm not the fastest typist. I have to hit the ground running as quickly as possible.

lol @ 'just add another issue' how do you add an issue that isn't there. at best your professor will lol inside, at worse he will think you don't understand anything you're talking aboutBankhead wrote:god i would never leave a final early -- why wouldn't you just add another issue or two or polish up what u already have.

Disagree, obviously depending on the circumstances. As I stated earlier, my teacher bases questions on recent cases. Those cases have so many issues, its ridiculous, especially with how little info is given. Undoubtedly, he is looking for 1-3 issues. However, there are certainly other ones there and instead of him LOL'ing he might actually be impressed.Leeroy Jenkins wrote:lol @ 'just add another issue' how do you add an issue that isn't there. at best your professor will lol inside, at worse he will think you don't understand anything you're talking aboutBankhead wrote:god i would never leave a final early -- why wouldn't you just add another issue or two or polish up what u already have.

I am feeling better this morning. To the people who "caught" me posting in here and told me not to worry: you guys are so sweet. That's kind of surreal, actually.

+1 a billion. That said, how could this thread have gone to 4 pages w/out me? I have to be the unofficial leader. Think about it: top 4%, 1st in section, TTT, must actually DO BETTER than last semester. Don't know anything going into exams. Gunners on the prowl, smell blood. If I fall out of the top 10% I don't get law review AND don't get to transfer and become an average student at a school w/ like a 20% employment rate..........A'nold unanimous thread king?Bankhead wrote:When you put in 12 hour days, you find that it doesn't exactly come down to a roll of the dice...dresden doll wrote:True enough.Mal wrote:Not all of us are at a top6 love.dresden doll wrote:Call me heartless, but I'd have more sympathy for a person that did badly last semester and is now clinging to hope that things will go over much, much better the second time around.
Boo-hoo-hoo for top 10 percent kids that feel like /self at the thought of sinking to median.
What's also true is that it's generally unwise to attend a school where you can't afford to graduate at median. Odds = not in your favor.

How did I not see this thread? I've been trolling for company in my irrational fear for weeks. See the exam rant thread.

I ran out of stuff to talk about in Con Law with 30 minutes left.
I kept staring at the test for the last 30 minutes going WHAT THE HELL AM I MISSING HERE!?!?!
There are two possibilities. Either I produced a great answer in half as many words and less time than it took me on any of my exams last semester, or I just completely and utterly tanked Con Law.
The best part is I get to wait two months before I discover which is true!

If it makes you feel any better, I finished every Fall 1L exam between 10 and 60 minutes early and did, um, rather well . . .vanwinkle wrote:I ran out of stuff to talk about in Con Law with 30 minutes left.

Re: Pennoyer: irrational fears of 1Ls who did well last semester
I took my Con Law exam today. I'm 90% sure that I bombed. My essay was complete and total fluff. I had some semblance of an answer in my head, but it sure did not get onto my computer screen. My only hope is that the rest of the class bombed as well.
I hate finals. This is such an awful feeling.

This reminds me of a Harvard study on law student personalities and what subjects they are likely to like/dislike. 0L's should pay close attention to this chart:amyLAchemist wrote:Anyways, did K exam. I feel like it went well, but I <3 Ks, so i could be very biased.
1. Contracts: social mutanty types, pocket protector-wearing, boring, sciency or accounting types.

3. Civ Pro: ?????????
4. Crim Law and Torts: cool, down to earth, normal, people you'd like to have a beer w/ types.
