Top Law Schools

Today is my final day of class as a 1L. What a year it's been! (One year and two days, exactly, since my status checker changed, so this really is a round kind of milestone.) I never expected to be here, and but for the help, encouragement, understanding, and general awesomeness of many of you, I wouldn't be.

I know some people are actually starting finals today (I believe WUSTL finals may already be underway), others tomorrow, and the first Virginians on Monday with their flex exams. We have until the 12th, thankfully, because I don't feel ready yet at all.

So many TLSers have made my life just immeasurably better that there really is no way I could name everyone without forgetting and offending. To all my fellow mods who share secrets (you know who you are, of course!), to Arrow (my first academic hero), to the Fordham class of 2012 (now good friends off TLS) and the class of 2013 to be, to every one of the Virginians for their remarkable kindness and hospitality (especially to YCRev and Vanwinkle and SeaLocust for trip arrangements), to the people of my local and much beloved T14s for the same (less travel required) , especially Antipodean and Sbalive and Booyakasha, Unemployed, MeTalkPrettyOneDay, Renzo, and Minimao, to my very dear Rayiner and Dresden for putting up with me, to A'nold for being a true confidant, to Prezidentv8, to Awesomepossum, to Observationalist, to Cleareyes and Mallard and Excelsior, Legends and Joshi, to Reasonable_Man for proving it can be done, and to Ken for making it all possible! To everyone else who has been here, even briefly, thank you.

Good luck my friend. I love this thread. I joke around a lot but I really value this site and most of the people on it as well, especially a small select few of very awesome law students (obviously including Opera, lol). I start the exam season on Tuesday.

It is funny to see the people you named. As someone who spends far too much time on TLS these days, I know most, but only like some.

Add: Renzo above me is always credited. It's unfortunate I associate his new avatar with apimpnamedslickback.

Good luck to you too OS/A'Nold, though you won't need it (and thanks for the shout out). I feel like most people on TLS are destined for greatness, especially if they're putting all the time (often during class) to learn and share the intricacies of law school with your fellow TLS'ers.

As usual, I can't believe you know so many people on TLS. One day, I must do a nationwide TLS visit the way you have haha.

We need more motivation/inspiration/encouragement threads on TLS, especially for finals haha.

There are many more I could name specifically (all my beloved mods, friends applying this cycle who presumably don't need good luck on exams), but I hope people will forgive me for attempting to be inclusive by means of broad categories. I've spent a good bit of time talking to every single person I named, and I know most of them in person, some of them quite well.

And yes, Renzo is awesome.

I wouldn't be in my situation either without Arrow's advice. My situation doesn't rival your situation, but it's still so much better than I could reasonably have hoped for or expected on my own.

I think we all Arrow an immense debt of gratitude.
