Summer Vacations as Law Students

Post by eternallearner » Thu Apr 22, 2010 10:20 pm

Hope this semester is treating everyone well.

Let's say that you end up working for a law firm for 10 weeks during summer. How many days (roughly) do you have between the last day of exams and the first day of work? How many days (roughly) do you have between the last day of summer work and the first day of school year?

Basically, what I would like to know is how many days of real summer vacation does a law student have assuming they work 10 weeks during summer.

Thank you!

"Law" and "vacation" don't belong in the same sentence
Thank you!

It's a professional school. You don't go to law school to fuck the real world. In law (school and practice) real world fucks you.

Serious answer: its minimal.

I start my SA during my last week of classes, so there is an overlap of two weeks.

I have nearly two months off between the end of my SA and the beginning of classes. Gogo quarter system! Of course, I have 3L OCI/Clerkship applications to worry about in there.
