Missed registration, cannot compete for law review.

Taking suggestions on how to proceed; poll will follow.

Do any journals have separate write ons?

Maybe apply to your school as a transfer and see if you can compete in the transfer write on . . . lol.

Can you grade on w/o the write on?

Probably a bad life choice.

Unfortunately all the journals use the same write-on competition; even more unfortunately, people grade on to journal but they still have to compete like everyone else.

Actually. You should find a professor and start working on a seriously scholarly article. I know some schools allow you to publish on to law review (see Chicago). If you got a paper published in any journal/ law review for that matter it would probably carry equal weight.

Go put your lawyer face on and advocate for yourself. You were sick, your dog died, your mom died, you wrote the date down wrong... whatever. If you only missed registration there may still be a way. Give it a shot. Once you are happily signed up yell "Lawyered!" triumphantly.

Already tried, they told me to go away because all deadlines were being strictly enforced and they weren't making exceptions for anyone.

Wow, well then... I think the best advice to date is to try to have a professor sponsor a paper to submit for publication. Plenty of people aren't on law review so it isn't the end of your career. Just make the most of a different path. Bummer, though. Don't bother kicking yourself over a stupid mistake. Everyone makes them from time to time.

Don't you want to do Patent Prosecution? Does it even matter?

Shit two pages and nobody called this a flame yet. Is this like the time you were quitting school because your grades sucked?

DF is clearly delusional, and cannot be trusted with anything (future employers take note)

Doing the write-on isn't the only way to make law review, at least at most schools.

Check and see if you have an opportunity to publish on.

QFT, I can't even count.

Also I shouldn't have shat on your flame thread.
