ITT we help Mikey Pick a Summer Class

I'm not working this summer because I'll be completing LS if 4 years due to disability reasons. I have not taken property, crim, or our elective. I'm calling this my .5L summer. I'm still doing OCI this fall but not expecting anything.
My options are:
Professional Responsibility
Advanced Legal Research
There are other classes but none that I'm interested in.
PR is a regular class with a set schedule. ALR is taught by librarians. The description contains a schedule but also a disclaimer that the class will meet for about 5 hours a week (out of the 8 scheduled hours).
I suppose PR would help me when I take a clinic - possibly next spring. As you know, profs occasionally discuss the topic in class but not much. ALR would be very useful but it sounds kinda like LRW.
Which would you take?

At least at my school professional responsibility is a requirement that is fulfilled BY taking a clinic. I was heavily advised NOT to take a professional responsibility class if I planned to do clinics (and I do.) Therefore I would take ALR. It sounds like an intensive summer LRW, which in turn sounds more useful than actual LRW, which gets short shrift due to it being shoehorned in among substantive classes. If, on the other hand, professional responsibility is a required course at your school you might want to get it over with.

ALR = LRW. Law firms love it but... how much did you like LRW? I vote for that though.

I think I'm going with PR. I'm looking for a class with useful experience and something I won't be able to acquire without paying tuition. Our clinics do not satisfy the PR requirement. Any journal I write-on to will provide more than enough advanced legal researching practice. Similarly, a journal is more impressive than a part time summer class. We have tons of upper-level writing credis, seminars, and research assistantships. Thanks for the help everyone. I going with PR.

I'm in PR right now and it is the most boring, useless class ever. Of course it doesn't help that our prof is 99 yrs old. I guess I would suggest ALW but I'm curious to know if you get to pick the topic or can use it as apart of your LR write on packet.

No can do. LR write on ends June 2nd; ALW begins on the 28th.
