Hey,
Quick question guys and gals. I have a certain long term event to begin planning. One possible date would be after finals, but before a summer associate program began. Is there a standard date when summer associates start at firms after their 2L year? Or does it vary a lot by firm?
Thanks...

Varies by firm (program length has a lot to do with it). Anywhere from the second week in May to the the end of June.

I am wondering - about how much time do people usually spend on those law review write on competitions? 1 week? 2 weeks? If you have to go start working, that cuts into your writing competition time. (ours hasn't released yet, but afaik they generally leave you 14 or 15 days at the end of may to do the thing, which cuts into start dates)
