First semester grades all over the place. Advice?

I just finished my first semester at a top 10 school. Top 10% in one class. Bottom 20% in another class. Median in the others. My overall GPA is @ the median. I felt the same going in and out of every exam. Any advice as to what to do? Do I even have a shot of landing a job at OCI?

OP, I feel you. We are on the very same boat - similar school ranking and similar "all-over-the-place" grades distribution. I will talk to the professors to see what went right and what went wrong. Hopefully that would help

at a T10 you still have a shot, probably more than you deserve really... you can turn this around. but if you bite it this next semester, you're just a median student, it'll be tough
