And doesn't work at all if a mod goes to your law school, since they see all

A very select few posters are occasionally granted permission to create alts (generally those with a very high number of posts whose IRL identity is known to several of their classmates/other posters) for the purpose of addressing sensitive issues (grades, transferring, the time they got drunk and stole Betasteve's car, etc.).

If you believe that you are one of these posters and you have a legitimate use for an alternate account, PM a request to one of the mods or admins. Do bear in mind that, as thesealocust noted, moderators and admins will still be able to see your identity even if you are using an alternate account (though other posters will not).

That said, this thread has no further utility.
