At least with the LSAT, you had thousands of others - some online (cough, TLS, cough) - discussing the test while "miraculously"/simultaneously trying to abide by LSAC's "no discussion" rule. Or was that the SAT? Or both? With finals, you just have your fellow section 1Ls - of which some were bitter cutthroats just three weeks before.Kohinoor wrote:Falling to pieces. Haha... imagine that. Each LSAT section trickling in at two day intervals. how can you even begin to guess how you did? it is based on a curve, so in order to have a good idea i would have to know how everyone else did...Brucewaynegretzky wrote:This isn't as bad. Sounds like prudent advice as usual, but does remind me of a funny story. In high school, I took a quantum class where our teacher would hand back exams in order of decreasing grade. There was something deliciously perverse about it, but I'm kind of glad none of my professors do this in LS...TTT-LS wrote:A word of advice: when your grades do arrive, resist the urge to open them up right away. At NU, fall grades have come out both of the last two years during the 1:30-2:25 class time block. I remember noticing people opening their grades during class both times and thinking how uncomfortable it must have been for the people sitting directly behind them, and for the person viewing the grades themselves if the grades weren't good. There's just nothing positive that can come from viewing grades during class.

I think if I have the willpower, I want to wait until I have either all or most of my grades to look. The scenario where the first grade is well below median then weeks later the rest are above, or else the first is well above median but then rest below fills me with abject terror.
