They just sent me an email saying I could do that too. Do you think they will still not allow us to work?

Well, since it appears that we all pretty much need roommates, how about we start seeing how compatible we all are and stuff like that to see if we can make something work.
My name is Christina. I'm 22 and I'll be coming from Florida. I don't mind living with guys, especially if they have and don't mind sharing their xbox (will we even have time?). I would like to keep my rent below $400 a month, including utilities. According to craigslist, it may be possible. But a lot of the posts look sketchy. If anyone is closer to UA, or knows more about the campus/area, I could definitely use some advice.
I drink, don't smoke (outside, please, if you do), like to cook and bake, and I'm clean. I live in a dorm now, so I'm good about being conscientious towards my roommates preferences.
I have been in contact with another girl who will be moving to Tuscaloosa in August so maybe we could find a place for 3-4 people?
Also, if they let me keep my job, I get a 35% discount at Cracker Barrel

haha

Has anyone heard anything from them lately? Since I sent in my deposit all I've gotten is an email about football tickets.

I think those of us that have deposited are kind of in a holding pattern. My financial aid information has been updated on the mybama site but thats about it. We probably won't hear anything else until the class has been set and it comes time to send in second deposits/register for classes.

I'm in section 2 with you for all those. Section 4 for legal writing though.

My fiancee and I are moving to Tuscaloosa and we have 2 dogs (one is about 30 pounds, one is about 5).
Would someone want to live with us in a 2 bedroom apartment? Obviously you could have one room and we would share the other.
She will be commuting to school about an hour away and probably only be there 3 or 4 nights a week.
We're trying to keep our rent down to below 400. So if we found somewhere that was 600-700, that would work out well.
Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hey,
Another girl and I are also looking for roomies. We have found a few places with 3-4 bedrooms and rent should be less than $500 per person. Let me know if you are interested and I can give you more information.

Has anyone had any experience looking for housing thus far? I was told by a realtor that there is currently a mad rush to "rent what's rentable." Apparently, pickings are slim.
