So I just got my admit packet in the mail. And I am SO excited. Anyone else feeling the BU love?

Yeah I couldn't be more excited. I am pretty sure I will be at BU next fall now I am just hoping for some $$ to make it affordable. Are you going to the accepted students day?

Just got in via voicemail this afternoon. I'd go to BU over GW assuming similar $$ offers. Thus far I've gotten into GW, Minnesota and BU. If I get in nowhere else (please take me Michigan!), it'll come down to whatever's cheapest. As it is, Minneapolis is my favorite city of the 3, but Boston is a helluva close second. If BU can match GW's 75% tuition offer, I'll be there.

I'm about 95% set on BU barring a Cornell acceptance.
Anyone else going to the March 4th preview day? I'm excited! Just booked my flight/hotel.

I will be there. Looks like they have a long day planned for us. I wonder if it will be much smaller than the later preview day?

I guess the one upside of that ugly tower is that it will be easy to find the law school.

Meh, just try to get it done. I don't know how firm it is--you can certainly submit it later, but you won't be given "priority," they say. I don't think anyone's is more than 20% accurate anyway.

Unfortunately, March 4 is a no-go, and March 25 is over my Spring Break (should've saved it for law school visits maybe, but it's my last undergrad spring break, so...).

I think I'll be visiting the week after and taking a tour (April 1 I think?), and sitting in on a 1L class (would be astounded if they didn't let you do that), maybe strike up conversation with some friendly 1Ls. I'm sure stragglers/late admittees will be visiting beyond the Preview Days anyway, but if anyone wants to form a TLS contingent for April 1, I'm down with that.

unless i get off the vandy wl will most likely be in Boston in the fall, visited a few months ago really loved the school

I'll be there this Friday...still waiting on money from BU and Cornell...BC, $75,000 is difficult to turn down.

To those of you in the NY/NJ area, I'm going to be organizing some get together nights in the city this summer so that you get a chance to meet each other (as well as myself). These will be totally unofficial "events", but should be a lot of fun. An upperclassman organized something like this last summer and we all had a great time. So I promised I would do the same this year. Good luck to everyone. You are going to love BU.

90% sure I'll be at BU come September. Also from NYC here and would be down for an unofficial meet-up in the area, it seems like a good number of New Yorkers end up at BU, am I making this up or is there actually a sizable number of NY natives?

Has anyone had any luck negotiating scholarships with BU?

just sent in my first seat deposit and first round of withdraw notices to other schools.

might ask to defer for a year, but otherwise I look forward to being in the tower this fall!

They came close to my GW offer (in terms of CoA, not pure $$$, since GW is more expensive of course). BU is still slightly more expensive, and I don't really have the temerity to call again (or much standing to ask for more I guess...), so I think I'll take it. Give them time. Took them 6 weeks with me.

Mailed my deposit today. Anyone know if we get any BU swag once our deposits in? The post-its and free T-shirts were nice and all, but I want more swag, and I want course guides and stuff like my friend who was admitted to Columbia got.

sent my deposit last week. also looking for housing/roomies. are most people planning to find leases that start in august or in september? i think i'd prefer to make the move in august, but august 1 leases are few and far in between it seems...
