Yes! I'll be in Ann Arbor this summer.ralphtruitt wrote:Hey there, I took a deferral from UM this summer too - and I'm glad the Class of 2014 finally has a thread!
Have you decided to accept? Hope to see you in 2011.
Congrats. I was going to be in the 2012 class but ended up withdrawing late last summer to take a new job (in retrospect a misguided decision). However, I'm jumping back in this cycle so hopefully I'll be accepted again and can join the class of 2014.wolverine2014 wrote:Wow! I can't believe I just typed that. Anyways, I just received deferred admission for the Class of 2014. I'm super excited!

Good luck! Hope to see you in Ann Arbor next year.Entchen wrote:Hopefully I will be adding myself to the official list of 14s soon -- Michigan is my top choice. I'm contemplating applying ED, but will probably not since I'm sort of holding out for money. We'll see. It's definitely my no. 1 though.
I find it amusing that so many people say they like Michigan despite the winter. The winter is one of the major selling points for me.
See you in May/June!Wanpsack1 wrote:Count me in for the Summer of 2011! Chose to stick around at my job for another year...now that school is getting ready to start (and my new boss sucks) I am regretting the decision. I guess I'll survive another 10 months though.
Me too!Count me in for the Summer of 2011!

Knockglock, I gotta say - I had so much respect for your posts until I saw this one. I like a full, four seasons tooKnockglock wrote:You're crazyEntchen wrote:Hopefully I will be adding myself to the official list of 14s soon -- Michigan is my top choice. Wow! All I can say is you'll definitely enjoy Ann Arbor winters.Entchen wrote:Ha, I have to defend myself! I am a New Englander born and bred, and I went to school in New Hampshire, so I know what winter is. And I love everything about it.
I love all winter sports (hockey! ice skating! alpine and most especially cross country skiing!).
I love the cold air that stings your lungs and makes you feel so awake.
I love sitting by a fire and drinking really thick hot chocolate while wearing a cozy sweater.
I love how beautiful new snow is, and the hush in the air as it falls.
I also love fall - beautiful leaves, perfect temperatures (crisp but not too cold), best food of the year (pumpkin and sweet potato and thick soups and maple syrup and apples and nuts and pie! and mulled cider!), bonfires and the enthusiasm that comes with football (which I find boring in a vacuum, but I love the environment it brings with it) and the start of a new year (even now that I'm not in school any more, the summer is slow and boring in my office, and things start picking up again around mid-September). Plus, fall and early winter have the best holidays.
Those of you who only get summer and more summer are seriously missing out.

Ditto (except for the environmental law part - mine said something else). So excited! I know these get sent to lots of people, but I love Michigan and I want them to love meartichoke88 wrote:I received snail mail from michigan a couple days ago with a handwritten note saying they would "love" to talk to me about their environmental law program.
