GW Law Transfer Odds

Post by anon65000 » Tue Jan 19, 2021 2:17 pm

First semester grades at TTTT (DC regional) were not great. 3.0 flat. 5 years prior work experience. What are the chances of transferring to GW law through early action?

You probably meant to post this in the Transfers forum: viewforum.php?f=27

If you post there, most people will tell you for starters to look at GW Law's ABA form 509 (you may have already done that). According to GW's 509, the 25-50-75 percentiles for transfer student GPAs this year was 3.18-3.33-3.47. You'll also be able to see the number of students from your current 1L school who made the transfer to GW. I don't know much about GW's early action program but I doubt it will dramatically boost your odds when your GPA falls beneath the 25th percentile.

For what it's worth, I don't think your work experience will have much impact on your transfer odds one way or the other.
