I would think so, because I didn't see any posts from anyone from the West Coast getting in. All the reddit posts were EST.

I'm on the west coast and got the call around 6:00AM west coast time

Is your law school on the west coast too?

For people who got accepted: how long did you have to accept? Likely a new wave will come out then.

Keeping this page updated with new info - reddit users have reported a ding wave this morning, which appears that it may just have been for people who didn't have interviews.

That makes me think there won't be a second wave. HLS said every transfer applicant would have a decision rendered by Friday, July 3rd. I'm guessing there isn't a waitlist for HLS transfer applicants because most will accept. This is bad news for me because I did not get an interview and I haven't heard anything. Anyone have another theory?

I just got an email saying my “application is still under active review” and I will be notified of their decision next week.

I’m guessing this is essentially a waitlist email and they’re waiting to see if applicants reject their admission offer. Did anybody else get this email or a different notification?

I did too. From Reddit, it seems like it's a mixed bag of people who interviewed and those who didn't who got this e-mail (I did not receive an interview). So we'll see how it goes, fingers crossed still!

It looks like there is a "hold" decision that some applicants have gotten. Check your spam or check your status checker :)

Is there really a different email for people on "hold" as opposed to having their applications "under active review"?

I had an interview and then got the email. I am sad. I feel like we have such little chance of acceptance. So so close to my dream school.

Welcome incoming 2Ls!

My name is Serena and I'm the JOLT Operations Editor for Volume 34. If you're interested in working on a journal this year, I'd love for you to consider joining the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology (JOLT)!

Why join JOLT?
[*] JOLT is one of the highest ranked technology law journal in the country.
[*] JOLT is not just for those with science backgrounds or interests in practicing IP law. JOLT publishes a wide array of topics ranging from cyberlaw, copyright, antitrust, privacy & security, biotech, telecommunications, energy, cybercrime, and much more.
[*] JOLT is a lot of fun! More than just a journal, JOLT is a community. We put on speaker events and career fairs, and host social activities ranging from happy hours to study breaks to house parties throughout the year.

There are many ways to get involved in JOLT. Please see below for more information on how to apply. If you have any questions about JOLT, please feel free to contact me at jolt.ops.editor@gmail.com

LINE EDITORS
If you have journal experience, you can apply to be a Line Editor. Line Editors manage a team of subciters and are in charge of technical and substantive edits for a section of an article or student note. Line Editing is a roughly 20 hour commitment per semester.

If interested, please email me at jolt.ops.editor@gmail.com ASAP and fill out the Line Editor application form by August 14, 11:59 PM. The application can be found here: https://forms.gle/J4XaKJ9N9b5Lx5sH8.

SUBCITERS
If you have no prior journal experience, you can sign up to be a Subciter. There is no application process for this role and recruiting will begin after classes start. Subciting is roughly a 5 hour time commitment, and those who subcite become eligible to apply for a Line Editor position the following semester.

DIGEST
JOLT Digest is the online companion to our journal. There are a number of ways to get involved in Digest, including writing and editing articles and student Comments. Sign-ups will begin in the early fall, but are restricted to those who have experience subciting or being a line editor or do so concurrently. Take a look at Digest here: http://jolt.law.harvard.edu/digest.

Regardless of whether you decide to apply, please feel free to use me as a resource as you begin your time at Harvard and reach out if you have any questions!

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.
