forgot to mention that i was interviewed also.

glad i didnt get deferred to regular decision though. that kinda sucks. so now you have to decide whether you want to take the 2 week write on in the hopes of regular decision going well. :(

Deferred to RD after ED interview. Lower T14, 3.6+ GPA in the first semester with some ties to Chicago. Not sure if it is still worthwhile to participate in write on. :(

I figure that maybe a write-on submission will at least show my dedication to wanting to go there and give me practice in writing, analyzing, and editing over the summer. It's not like there's too much else to do at the moment...

Yeah I agree that it is a good writing practice but the Maroonbook and the Chicago style of citation are totally new to me lol

Just wanted to pop in and say hi and good luck to everyone. Transferred to U of C last year and it was the best choice I have ever made. If anyone has any questions about my experience applying, at school, or in OCI, happy to answer!

I just got accepted, 3.73 GPA, top 10 individually. I currently attend a T30 at full scholarship. Would UChicago would be worth the debt load?

I mean, my main advice would be what everyone says. If your goal is biglaw and your current school places well in the region you want to practice, then probably not. If your goal clerkship, academia, or prestige government, then it is definitely worth it. Your tolerance for the debt is a personal trait.

One thing people maybe don't mention as much is that the academic environment at U of C is unique and quite serious about law as an academic study. If that is important to you (as it was to me), I don't think there is a better choice you can make than going.
