Chances of transferring: t-50 with 3.96

Post by castor » Tue Apr 28, 2020 10:41 am

Hey everyone!
I currently have a 3.96 from fall, and with mandatory p/f that is secured. I am ranked #2 (top 2% ish -leaning 1.5%? Probably doesn’t matter).

I am hoping to send apps to Yale, Harvard, Chicago, Penn, and Michigan. I don’t want to be in the middle of NYC hence why I’m not applying to Columbia and NYU.

What are my odds of getting accepted? I know my schools rank factors in, but not sure how that plays out with my gpa.

Thanks!

I'd expect you to have a good shot at Penn, Michigan, and Chicago--I had slightly lower grades from a roughly equivalent school and got in to Penn and Chicago. Harvard and Yale are less sure, but look at the 509s and see if they let people in from school from year to year.
