Transfer or switching schools after fall semester 1L.

Hello,

Wondering what the rules were if I was to try and transfer after only completing 1L fall semester. Grades were in the middle tier. Had a medical issue, but think I'd rather like to go back to my home state. My question is (Currently at a T3) would I be allowed to retake the LSAT? Do people do that? I can get LOR's from 2 of my current law professors. Just don't know what is best to do.

Or is it common? Or do most students just stay at their school and restart over? Any advice will be greatly appreciated if you need more detail feel free to DM. Thanks.

You can't transfer with only a single semester of grades.

If you had a medical issue that forced your withdrawal in the second semester, you may be able to reapply next cycle. But some schools may choose not to admit you with a full semester of grades already on your record if you didn't have a solid reason for not completing the full year.
