Good Reasons to Transfer?

I have been accepted to a T14 school as a transfer and would be transferring from a T35-60 school where I am currently top 10%, receiving a partial scholarship, have significant ties to the area etc. I am confident that if I stay at my current school I would have a reasonable shot at landing biglaw in its market. However, I don't really want to be stuck in that city for the foreseeable future, at least before living somewhere else for a while. I am sort of unsure of what to do because I am unhappy with the likely outcome at my current school, but can't articulate a specific outcome that would be more desirable from transferring. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or had gone through a similar dilemma in the past. Thanks!

Is it Georgetown? I don’t think many have come with decisions yet.

Start negotiations with your current school to see if they will increase your scholarship. With your grades and acceptance, what do you have to lose?

If your current school is in your target market, then you could possibly set yourself up for a decent outcome if you stay or if you take the transfer.

Possibly consider reaching out to one of your reccmenders to see what their perspective is
