I CALI'd my first three classes at WUSTL. What are my options?

I surprised myself this semester at Wash U. I really don't know much about the legal world outside the basics -- big law/ small law, litigation/ not litigation, criminal/civil, etc.. I've heard people talk about doing clerkships. I figure I'm probably first in the class for now...and given that I got the best grade in all three classes I feel relatively confident in doing at least well next semester.

How well do I have to do next semester to transfer to Yale? I'm thinking I'd like to go as big as I can go -- attorney general, judge, and....I don't know. I don't really know what I should even be thinking about. Anybody that knows the legal field want to give me feedback?

Doesn't look like Wash U gives out points on the 100-point scale, just letter grades, but someone who goes there will have to correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, but not all professors give 4.3's, and many times CALIs are 4.24/4.18/etc. 4.3 are rare.

Just assuming if this person knows they got the highest grades right now they got 4.3 or they are lying

Dunnkirk85 is also a new account that’s only posted on this post. Probably the OP trying to keep his/her troll alive.

Based upon your first semester grades I have no doubt you are destined for success. Getting those CALI awards is also very impressive. Those always look impressive as shit under your Bio section on the firm’s website.

Yep. You get your letter grade and corresponding number (4.12, whatever). Professors don't have to give out 4.30s, and not knowing anything outside of our 1L grades yet (percentiles, our actual exams), I don't think this dude could have any idea whether or not he CALI'ed for sure.

Also, and another WUSTL'er can correct me if I'm wrong - it seems that profs don't have to give out A+ (4.0 and above)? Looking at past distributions (like the psycho I am about grades), it seems as if sometimes the highest grade is 3.98.

By all means though, if this is real, even if you don't know for sure if you CALI'd, I am assuming you have above a 4.0 in your doctrinals. Congratulations dude.

It is true that some profs can and have given CALIs that are below 4.0, although this is rare for 1L (rightly so, because it can be really unfair to that one section).
