On what basis is it ok to ask for an expedited transfer admission decision?

If you have a legit need there probably isn't much harm in at least asking what your status is / when they expect to reach a decision.

You could say youre facing a deposit deadline at another school and was wondering if they would be able to give an expedited decision. Just a heads up- if its NYU youre waiting on they will politely tell you to fuck off. I tried already.

Pretty sure they know my phone number by now, just waiting for them to pick up and be like seriously stop calling
